Matar Paneer

Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons oil or ghee
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 3/4 -1 cup tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 green chili
  • 1inch ginger, chopped
  • 2-3 garlic, chopped
  • 8-10 cashews
  • 1 teaspoon oil or ghee
  • 1/2  cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Anoop Kitchen King Masala
  • 1/2  teaspoon Anoop Kashmiri Mirch powder
  • 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2  teaspoon salt, adjust if needed
  • 250-300grams paneer
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or malai
  • 1/2  teaspoon Anoop Kasuri Methi

 

 

Recipe
  1. In a pan, add 3 tbsp oil, and add onions. Sauté it.
  2. Add ginger, garlic and green chili. Add tomatoes and cook till a little soft.
  3. Add cashews and give it mix. Let it cool a little.
  4. Blend this into a paste.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon oil in pan and add cumin seeds.
  6. Once it starts to pop, pour in the paste.
  7. Add Anoop Kitchen King Masala and Anoop Kashmiri Mirch powder.
  8. Cook this paste until oil releases from the sides.
  9. Add in green peas and water. Cook on medium heat until peas are soft.
  10. Once peas are cooked, add the paneer, heavy cream, and Anoop Kasuri Methi. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
